Daycare

Friday, November 21st, 2008 by Mom

Cole and Grace started daycare this month.  They are now attending the same daycare as their friend Ava.  It’s a great facility that offers not only daycare services but it’s also a place where Grace attends preschool.  Here is a picture of the outside.

Even though this is my second time around taking my babies to daycare, it was still hard nonetheless.  My day went by sooo slow.  I couldn’t wait to pick them up to see how they handled being without Mommy.  I even brought the camera to capture the moment.  Of course, when I got there I totally forgot to take pictures, I just wanted to pick Cole and Grace up.  However, a few days later I was able to get a few shots of Cole while picking him up.

He’s not so sure it’s me at first……

But then he realizes it’s Mommy!!!  There’s my Cole smile.

Of course, after only one week of daycare, Cole gets sick.  That’s daycare for you.  In addition to him being new to daycare, getting sick, he also sprouted his first teeth!!  Ouch.  He was definitely cranky the first few weeks there.

Look hard, you can kind of see one tooth.  As of today, he has his two bottom teeth.

Cole is also trying his darnedest to sit up.  He hasn’t even rolled over yet but while laying on his back he keeps doing mini sit ups.  We decided to try sitting him up to see how well he can balance himself.

Not too shabby.

He’s still a little wobbly but he’ll catch on soon enough.

We also use the Boppy to help prop him up.  He likes sitting up like a big boy.

Or leaning to one side looking uber cool.

I’ll keep you updated on Cole’s experiences at daycare and how fast he’s growing……Bye from Mommy and Cole.

Hello surfer ducky.  It’s so nice to see you today.  You are my favorite toy.

You look so yummy too.  Now I must devour you.

Itsy Bitsy Spider

This year was Cole’s first Halloween.  I found the cutest spider costume for my little man.  Can you guess which spider is Cole?  You have to look very carefully as he is disguised so well.

Is this Cole?  No.  It’s a huge spider Dan found up in the eaves of our shed.  Yuck!  Dan wanted to keep it as his pet spider but eventually set him free at a Taco Bell parking lot.

Is this Cole?  No.  It’s another spider we found a few days later hanging out on our front porch.  Double yuck!  The next day the spider was gone.

Is this Cole?  Yep.  You got it.  His hat was a little too big but he fit the sac just right.  I guess Halloween time is when all the spiders come out to play.
