Our beautiful baby boy, Cole Sebastian Dykes, was born on July 19, 2008 at 8:50p.m.  He weighed in at 8lbs 9 oz.  His delivery is a tale in its own.  Unfortunately, Mommy & Daddy labored too long at home for Mommy to get pain medication at the hospital.  With two false alarms ealier that week, we wanted to be sure this was the time.  When Aunt Cara arrived to watch sister Grace, we dashed out the door for the hospital.  We arrived at the hospital at 8:15p.m. and delivered Cole at 8:50p.m.  I guess Cole was in a hurry to meet everyone.

We had lots of visitors the next morning, including Gracie.  She couldn’t wait to meet her new baby brother.

Dan, Marlene, Ava, and Nicole stopped by too.

Even Grandma Minnie came out to meet Cole.

We spent the next week at Yaya and Papa’s house for some added support.  They were so helpful at entertaining Gracie while Mommy & Daddy got acquainted with Cole and to catch up on some zzzz’s.  Gracie just loved being able to hold her baby brother.
